People, Planet, Prosperity and Purpose: Sustainable Campus Walking Tour of Georgetown University

Bring your coffee and join us for a morning stroll to learn about Georgetown University’s work to create a sustainable campus. Participants will learn about the University’s commitment to green buildings, find out how Georgetown become the first designated “bicycle-friendly university” in the District of Columbia, see how we are increasing green space and tree canopy, and hear about a new project which will provide half the University’s power from renewable energy by the year 2020.

The 60-minute tour will depart from the Registration Desk in South Gallery on Sunday at 7:30AM. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and plan to be outside for a portion of the tour.
